Wildlife boost for school grounds

Ulster Wildlife are delighted to have received support from Comber Rotary Club to deliver an exciting 'Homes for Wildlife' education project with local schools across Co. Down.

Over the coming year, we will be inspiring children about the nature in their school grounds, from bugs to birds, through a variety of seasonal educational activities, as well as providing bird boxes and mini-beast hotels to attract wildlife.

We hope this will promote further learning outdoors which will benefit the children's health and well-being.

The members of Comber Rotary has been working closely with local high schools on the manufacture of the wildlife homes and have also donated a number of barn owl nest boxes which will be installed on nature reserves across Nl where there is suitable habitat.
