The Rotary Club of comber - News Detail
On Monday 30th September following the sending out of invitations to a wide range of people in the Comber area a number of those invited enjoyed a light meal with Club members and then hear about Rotary’s activities both locally and globally.
They heard about the Club’s need for support in order to continue these and be in a position initiate new ventures of benefit to the local community. Phillip Beggs, a member of the club for 17 years and the District Governor for Rotary Ireland (Rotary’s central body) in 2014 gave a presentation covering key areas of Rotary’s work and this was followed by a wide-ranging question and answer session.
The Club hopes that the visitors enjoyed the meeting, found it to be both informative and stimulating and that they will consider supporting the work of the club by becoming members.
